This is just adding salt to the wound....the postmaster general wants the USPS to only work 5 days! This is crazy! But we can't worry until it's here and can't change what we don't know. Here's the link if you want to check it out, just copy and past.

For every action there is a reaction, cut the days means cutting jobs. Cutting jobs means less money being spent on things which in turn cuts jobs. Can't people see that this all started with gas prices?
High gas prices = higher prices at stores = people not buying as much = job loss = house foreclosures = bank fallouts
It's all a cycle, lets hope this one has a better ending......

Nothing new
I feel so guilty having this blog and not posting as often as I'd like. But honestly, there hasn't been anything new happening, it's all work and no play here lately. The only remotely interesting thing is that the brakes went out on my car. But wait...remember I drive up and down a winding mountain to get to and from work in Simi Valley! So here's the story:
I guess it's not really funny, but since nothing happened it's ok :). I was driving to work and discovered I had to press really hard to get the car to stop. Not being too mechanically inclined (that's why I got married) I called Leroy, told him the situation and he said I was probably just out of brake fluid. **Did I mention we've been riding on grinding brakes for over 6 months, that couldn't have been good** Anyway, since Target is literally right behind the post office I was at I was gonna drive straight over and get some brake fluid. Now why would I think that would be easy?! As I start to pull out I discover I have no brakes at all! Back in the parking spot and I now have to walk to Target. Get the brake fluid, research in the manual where to pour it and WHALA! I'm now a mechanic :)
So I think things are going good, I get off work, start driving down the mountain and my e-brake dummy light goes on. Oh great, I'm on the downhill of Grimes Canyon mountain and I have a light on! I make it home safe and sound. Leroy said no way I can drive it so there it stayed. Oh yeah, the next day I had to be to work at 4am, so Leroy & the kids had to drive me :( When we got home that afternoon you could see on the tire where all the brake fluid leaked out. Luckily I made it home safe, it was a close call! Next we find a good mechanic here, he fixes it and we are out $280 buck :( But on the plus side I'm alive :)
See not very interesting just a little strange :)
PS---Anyone have any birthdays for me? Thanks Beka for yours! I already have the cards made :)

Christmas....a little behind :)
OK OK I know I'm a little late getting the Christmas photos uploaded and blogging but it's finally settled down with the holidays and work. Ahhh where to begin?! Well Christmas has come and gone and as the kids get older it's even more fun. This year I was able to get the day before & the day after Christmas off so with all the madness of the post office I got to relax a little. We finished some last minute shopping on Christmas eve (along with all the other crazy LA people down here) and with the ru
nning around we forgot to make cookies for Santa. Don't worry though because we found out Santa LOVES homemade fudge...which just happened to be in the fridge :)
So Christmas eve the kids left out fudge and milk for Santa, double checked the gift count and off to bed.....2 hours later they were still awake! I guess I forgot how exciting Christmas is for little ones. They finally drifted off to dream land....and sometime in the middle of the night Santa came! Derrick came running in at 7am "Wake up wake up guys it's Christmas!!!" We played the "we don't wanna get up game" for a few minutes until Derrick about had a heart attack and sent them to the tree.
The first thing they checked was that Santa ate the fudge and even left a thank you note...in red ink of course! Then for the next few minutes the kids opened stockings and gifts. It was nice this year....both kids knew how to rip open the wrapping and dig in, it was so much
fun watching them. Santa was very good to them.....mostly because Santa shops on clearance at the end of toy seasons ;) Derrick loved all his boy toys and Danae I thought was going to have a heart attack when she opened her present with a new baby in it. Her hands were shaking & everything, it was so cute!
We spent the day playing with toys, and trying to get my homemade bread to rise....needless to say the toys did better than the bread. We had a late Christmas dinner and Christmas was over. The kids weren't to
o bad about it being over until they realized they weren't going to get presents everyday. One interesting this that happened this Christmas is that Derrick managed to memorize Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer after hearing it just a few times and Danae made up her own song LOL
Other than Christmas Leroy has been busy trying to get the apartments here rented and not doing to bad. The owner is happy and has even agreed to let us put together an Easter get together here for everyone and he'll pay for it! So totally awesome, I love planning for stuff!!!
And speaking of planning, I went through my Birthday book & realized I have 34 cards to make this year! So awesome again! I love making cards and refuse to support Hallmark plus is I send cards it helps my company :) I have most birthdays down, but there are a lot out there I don't have so...................if your reading this, PLEASE SEND ME YOUR BIRTHDAY!!!! Even if you think I have it, email it to me again. The only ones I have for sure are Leroy's mom, sisters and my mom. LJClark23@aol.com is the email so please please please please send those birthdays :)
OK I've got cards to make...just wanted to share with y'all
