I'll make this a short one just because....well....I'm tired! We got Leroy's MRI results and yes his back is getting very much worse by the day. Which, sounds bad but now we're waiting to hear from a neurosurgeon and hopefully he can get back surgery and fix all the pain he's in!
The kids are doing great, they've hit that arguing stage. You know the one, "Mom she's touching me!" "Mom he's looking at me mean!" It's driving us all crazy but it's just a phase (hopefully!) and they will soon grow out of it....at least I'm hoping! =)
9 months have passed since I got transferred which means only 3 months left in Fillmore and I can put in to be relocated to a bigger city. This small town stuff is driving us all crazy. We spend more time driving to places that we do anything else. I got out of a small town and refuse to raise my kids in one, they need to know there are more things out there than Fillmore.
All in all things are ok, just waiting on a doctor call =)
Hope everyone who reads this is doing awesome!

A year goes by so fast
I heard a saying a while back and realized it's so true. "The days go slow but the years fly by" The quote was referencing how fast children grow, but it is so true about life. I realized yesterday it had been exactly a year since we got the news the REC was closing and we would all have to transfer to new locations for separate with the postal service.
It has no doubt been a rough, bumpy and sometime horrible ride these past 12 months. So much has changed and I sometimes just want to give up and runaway with Leroy & the kids to an unknown island. I think I've put Leroy through so many mood swings it's not even funny! But he knows I'm just venting and reassures me it's just what we have to do for now. A year ago I knew what I was doing each and every day, had a house with a huge yard for the kids and not completely but mostly very little stress. A year later, we live outside of LA, I never know what I'm doing day to day because of scheduling me in 3 different offices and huge stress.
I do count my blessings, I have 2 healthy children who are wonderful (99% of the time)! A wonderful loving husband who I absolutely am very grateful for. And I have a job, though stressful, so many people don't have a job and I do. So many changes and decisions to make. My only home is that the next 12 months aren't as stressful or hectic.....maybe I'm just wishful thinking!
Well I always have my scrapbooking & card making that relaxes me! I've managed to send everyone a birthday card this year that I have a birthday for, except my Aunt Liz. Aunt Liz if you read this blog...when is your birthday? Maybe I'll just send a card and ask =)

MRI
Yesterday Leroy had a new MRI! It's been a year since his last one and as bad as it sounds we & his doctor are hoping his back has changed for the worse. He's been in so much pain lately it's not even funny. All we hope is the disc has gotten worse and he can go into surgery and be better sooner than later.
Also.....we had a visitor weekend before last.....dum dum duh dum (my attempt at a drumroll) it was LEEANNE!!!! The kids and us were so excited! We haven't seen her since March of last year so it was an extra special treat when she called Saturday and said she was coming Sunday. The kids love to see her and show her everything =) At least Derrick is over his phase of calling her "Sister Leeanne" now she's just "Leeanne". For a while he made her out to be a nun, but it was so cute.
Danae never wants to leave her big sister's side when she's around. It's so awesome to see the three of them together. She's so patient with them, because they can be a handful. She even came bearing gifts that the kids are still telling me, "Mom, sister gave me this, it's mine, she really likes me".
I was also super excited to see her as she's into scrapbooking now! We went to a couple stores and shopped because we have different stuff than she does back in the central valley. Then came back and we raided each others paper piles =) I must say I have a new awesome stack of pretty paper for my projects thanks to Leeanne.
The kids got into bed really late but Leeanne tucked them in and promised that she'd come back and spend the night next time. So when she gets the chance we are SOOOOO ready for another visit! Here's some pics of the visit!
